Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Van
Graduated from Hanoi Foreign Language University, the young teacher Nguyen Thanh Van had never thought of becoming a career chef. She began training in the Metropole kitchen, and participated in various courses in on Asian gastronomy and European cuisine in Vietnam and overseas .
Fluent both in French and English, with a passion in cooking, she has brought Vietnamese cuisine to the world by taking part in numerous Vietnamese food festivals in Japan, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, France, Japan, China and the USA. In 2007, she was the first Vietnamese woman to become a member of l’Académie Culinaire de France.
